Blakeney straights are renowned for the sea of bluebells in the spring, the Summer surrounds you with lush greenery, whilst Autumn brings a festival of colour to the Forest. By Wintertime the stark stillness of the Forest offers a magical calm and tranquillity. The cottage is available all year, you can spend Christmas or New Year around a real log fire.

An ideal retreat for walks, cycling, sightseeing and getting away from it all. Forest View Cottage is great for couples or families, offering a perfect base to enjoy many local attractions. With handy local amenities including a pub and shop within walking distance.

There are many outdoor activities, horseriding, fishing, walking, mountain biking, canoeing, caving and climbing. There are picnic spots throughout the Forest and waymarked trails. You can travel on the Dean Forest Railway in steam hauled carriages. There is the Forest Heritage Centre, Go Ape Activity Centre, Clearwell Caves, Symonds Yat and Tintern Abbey in the Wye Valley all within a short drive.

The City of Gloucester is sixteen miles away where the National Waterways Museum can be visited at Gloucester Docks. The walled town of Chepstow is a short drive away with its castle and racecourse.
